The European Union launched the European e-Justice Portal on July 14, 2010. The EU intends the Portal to be a "one-stop (electronic) shop" for information on the law of the EU and its Member States. It includes descriptions of EU decision-making processes and links, via Eur-Lex, to related law documents -treaties, case-law, regulations, directives, decisions, opinions, and recommendations. In addition, the Portal links to the N-Lex database of national legislation for 23 EU countries and the JURE database of Member State case-law.
Looking for cases from the European Court of Justice (ECJ)? The European e-Justice Portal has that as well as general information about European judicial systems. The Portal covers the legal professions, victims of crimes, enforcement of judgments, and family law in European countries, and much more.
We've added a link to the European e-Justice Portal on our European Union Law research guide. Check it out!
